Miok is a dual board-certified professional in both psychiatry and family practice, boasting an extensive career that spans both inpatient and outpatient care settings. With nearly two decades of experience in healthcare, she initially embarked on her journey as a registered nurse, and a decade ago, she successfully completed her family nurse practitioner program. For the past decade, Miok has been dedicated to serving in skilled nursing homes, where she collaborates with a team of professionals to conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, and bipolar I and II. Her expertise also encompasses a wealth of experience in pain management.

Throughout her career, Miok has encountered numerous situations where an acute understanding and recognition of a patient’s mental health proved to be paramount. It was in these critical care scenarios that her fervent dedication to mental health was ignited, driving her to pursue a Post-Master's Degree in Nursing at SUNY Buffalo, culminating in her attainment of the title of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2023.

Miok's overarching objective is to provide personalized treatment, integrating evidence-based psychotherapy and medication management, tailored to individuals grappling with challenging mood symptoms, navigating life transitions, addressing relationship issues, and enhancing self-esteem, all while honing essential coping skills to effectively manage stress.
