Dr. Edith Onua brings forth an extensive 23-year background in nursing, showcasing expertise as an Advanced Practice Nurse adept at caring for patients across all stages of life. Her educational journey includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Pace University, a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner, and a postgraduate degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, all earned at Pace University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Onua has excelled in clinical leadership, providing policy direction, and supervising clinical teams. She has delivered comprehensive care to patients in diverse settings including community health centers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and correctional facilities. Her practice encompasses a wide range of conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, trauma, as well as childhood-related challenges like ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral issues.
Dr. Onua is deeply passionate about delivering direct care and cherishes her expanded role as a healthcare provider. She places a special emphasis on the mental well-being of children and families. Driven by the belief that individuals and families are the foremost authorities on their own lives, she places great value on collaborative efforts with families to achieve the best outcomes.
